(a) The given image represents formation of acid rain.

(b) The two effects of acid rain are:
  • They increase the acidity of the soil and destroy forest and crops.
  • They corrode the monuments and building.
(c) Burning of fossil fuels like coal, petrol, etc. produces SO2,NOx. It combines with water in the atmosphere and forms sulphuric acid and falls as acid rain.
