Solution

The correct option is A C
Biogas is a methane rich fuel gas, produced by the anaerobic breakdown or digestion with the help of methanogenic bacteria.

The given image depicts a biogas plant which is used for the production of biogas. These are mostly situated in rural areas. A biogas plant consists of a 10 -15 feet deep concrete tank known as a digester (D).

It has a charge pit (A) for feeding the slurry of cow dung and water or other organic wastes into the digester where microbes act on the slurry to produce the biogas. A floating gas holder (C) is present over the digester which collects the gas produced within the digester. Hence option a is correct.
