1. Tea crop grows well in Assam.
2.Mostly women are employed to harvest tea leaves because tea plucking is a very skilled job requiring patience and judgement. Women are better pickers and can be employed at relatively cheaper rates.
3.Two geographical conditions suitable for the cultivation of tea are:
a.It requires the temperature ranging between 24∘C to 30∘C.
b.Rainfall ranging between 150-200 cm annually is best suited. High humidity, heavy dew and morning fog are favourable for its growth.
