  • The patella or kneecap, is a thick, circular-triangular bone which articulates with the femur (thigh bone).
  • It covers and protects the anterior articular surface of the knee joint.
  • Each half of pectoral girdle consists of a clavicle and a scapula. The scapula is a large triangular flat bone situated in the dorsal part of the thorax between the second and the seventh ribs. Hence scapula is present on the ventral side of the thorax.
