Solution

The correct option is D 13x - 5xy
Sum = (9x - 7xy + 12y + 6z) + (6x - 12y + 3z)
Combining the like terms,
(9x + 6x) + (12y - 12y) + (6z + 3z) - 7xy
= 15x + 9z - 7xy

Subtracting (2x + 9z - 2xy) from (15x + 9z - 7xy ),
= (15x + 9z - 7xy ) - (2x + 9z - 2xy)
= 15x + 9z - 7xy - 2x - 9z +2xy
= (15x - 2x) + (9z - 9z) + (2xy - 7xy)
= 13x - 5xy
