The correct option is D $4 x - 6 y - 3$
Sum of $3 x - 2 y + 7$ and $5 x - 3 y - 8$
$= 3 x - 2 y + 7 + 5 x - 3 y - 8$
$= 8 x - 5 y - 1$
Thus, $8 x - 5 y - 1 - (4 x + y + 2)$
$= 8 x - 5 y - 1 - 4 x - y - 2$
$= 4 x - 6 y - 3$
