At first add both the number

$1\frac{7}{10}+2\frac{1}{5}=\frac{17}{10}+\frac{11}{5}=\frac{17+22}{10}=\frac{39}{10}$

Substract the summ of both nuber from 5 as follow:-

$5-\frac{39}{10}=\frac{50-39}{10}=\frac{11}{10}=1\frac{1}{10}$
