Suggest a situation where we obtain more than one shadow of an object at a time.

  1. Multiple shadows at a time of an object are obtained when light falls on the object from different sources at a time.
  2. For example -When a person is walking on the street at night we can see multiple shadows of that person at a time because the street light fall on that person from a different direction.
  3. The position and the intensity of the light affect the properties of the type of shadow that is formed
  4. For example- In the early morning or late afternoon we can see that our shadow is elongated but in the afternoon our shadow is short because the sun is right above our head.

Hence we can find many similar situations in which we get multiple shadows due to different sources of light.
