Solution

Answer:

Separation of mixtures:

  • The process of separation of different constituents of a mixture using physical methods is known as the separation of mixtures.

The separation of the mixture of Common salt, water, and sand:

Filtration followed by evaporation:

  • In the mixture of Common salt, water, and sand one common salt is soluble in water but sand is not.
  • So at first, we use the filtration method to separate sand from the common salt solution in water.
  • Now after the filtration process sand will be separated and left with the common salt solution in water.
  • For removing this common salt from water, we use the evaporation process.
  • During this process, water evaporates, and common salt will be left in the container.
  • This is how we can separate the mixture of Common salt, water, and sand.

Conclusion:
Therefore, we can separate the mixture of Common salt, water, and sand using Filtration followed by evaporation.
