Every species has role to play in the ecosystem. Hence, their conservation is essential. Due to excessive exploitation of the plant and animal resources by human beings, the ecosystem has been disturbed.
Some ways to control this exploitation:
(i) Hunting by greedy hunters for commercial purposes should be stopped at all cost.
(ii) Reckless cutting of the forests to bring land under cultivation and inhabitation should be minimised.
(iii) Pollution due to chemical and industrial waste, and acid deposits should be checked.
