Solution

The sum of all seats in the theatre when there are n rows is3n22+125n2As, there are 2500 seats in the theatre, therefore3n22+125n2=25003n2+125n=50003n2+125n-5000=03n2+200n-75n-5000=0n3n+200-253n+200=0n-253n+200=0n=25, -2003Hence, the number of rows in the theatre is 25
Now the number of seats in the last row, i.e. in row 25 is equal to the (Total number of seats in the 25 rows-Total number of seats in the 24 rows)=123252+12525-123242+12524=2500-2364=136.Therefore, there are 136 seats in the last row.
