Given that,

$\sqrt{x}=3...\left(2\right)$

then, using equation (2) squaring

both sides

$(\sqrt{x}{)}^2=(3{)}^2$

$x=9...\left(3\right)$

Putting the value from equation (3)

in equation (1)

$(9{)}^2+y^2=145$

$81+y^2=145$

$y^2=145-81$

$y^2=64$
