The correct option is A $4$
$| x - 2 | = t$
$t^{2} - 2 t - 15 = 0$
$(t - 5) (t + 3) = 0$
$t^{2} - 3$
$t^{2} + 5$
$t < 0$
$∴$ $t = 5$
$x - 2 = 5$
$x = 7$
$x - 2 = - 5$
$x = - 3$
$∴$ sum of roots $= 7 - 3 = 4$
