Let the marked price be x.
Given that , the Customer got 12% discount of M.P
So selling price (S.P) =x- 12% x
$S.P=x-\frac{12}{100}\times x$
$S.P=\frac{88}{100}\times x=\frac{22}{25}x$
Total amount paid by the customer will be given by
Total amount= S.P + Sales tax

23760 = $\frac{22}{25}x+\frac{8}{100}\times \frac{22}{25}x$

= $\frac{22}{25}\times$ ( 1+ $\frac{8}{100}$)
23760 = $\frac{22}{25}x\times \frac{108}{100}$

x = $\frac{23760\times 25\times 100}{22\times 108}=25000$
