Solution

1st condition -
cost of 1 kg wheat = Rs. 6.25
Total wheat bought = 40 kg
Total cost of wheat = 40×Rs.6.25
=Rs.250
2nd condition -
cost of 1 kg wheat = Rs. 7
Total wheat bought = 30 kg
Total cost of wheat = Rs.7×30
=Rs.210
Net cost of wheat bought = Rs.250 + Rs.210 = Rs.460
Rate at which he should sell to make a profit of 5%
Profit % = SPCPCP×100
5100=SP460460SP=Rs.483
Total wheat bought = 70 kg
Cost of 1 kg wheat at a profit of 5%
=Rs.48370=Rs.6.9
