Question

Suppose ABCD is a parallelogram in which AB=9 cm and its perimeter is 30 cm. Find the length of each side of the parallelogram

Open in App
Solution

As we know in a parallelogram the opposite sides are parallel and equal.
Now let a be the length or breadth of the given parallelogram.
Then 2(9+a)=30.
or, a=6.
Since the length is always is greater than equal to the breadth then a is the breadth of the parallelogram.
So the length of the parallelogram is 9 cm.
