Suppose the Union government wants to make a project in the state of Maharashtra. But the government of Maharashtra rejects the project. In that case, does the prime Minister of India intervene and pass an order that the Chief Minister will have to be obey for making the project?

It depends upon if the said project comes under state, concurrent or union list. If it comes under state list, State government has the final say and centre cannot intervene in general cases. But if it comes under union or concurrent list, centre government can intervene.
