Suppose you are in a dark room. Can you see objects in the room? Can you see objects outside the room?

In a dark room, we are not able to see the objects around us because of the absence of light. Whereas light is present outside the room, therefore we are able to see the objects. The light falls on the object which is reflected back into our eyes and hence we can see the object.
