Suppose you are standing on a boat in the middle of a swimming pool. The boat is loaded with a bag of stones. Can you get to the shore using the stones? If yes, explain the concept behind it.

Yes, of course, we can get to the shore. For this, we have to throw the stones from the boat horizontal, say. In this process, we impact a force on the stones by acceleration it from rest. Consequently, the stones impart a force on the boat, which is equal in magnitude and oppositely directed. if the force imparted by us on the stone, is termed as action, the force received by us (boat) is known as reaction and vice versa. Therefore, the boat will move towards the shore.
