Open in App
Solution

Let Salman have Rs x.
Then, Supriya will have Rs (x – 6).
Sum of their money =Rs {(x – 6) + x}
It is given that the sum of the money they have is Rs 44.
∴ (x – 6) + x = 44
x – 6 + x = 44
2x – 6 = 44
Adding 6 to both sides, we obtain:
2x – 6 + 6 = 44 + 6
2x = 50
Dividing both sides by 2, we obtain:
2x2=502
x = 25
∴ Salman has Rs 25.
And so, Supriya has x – 6 = 25 – 6 = Rs 19.
