The correct option is A ₹320 profit
Sum invested = ₹40000
Loss incurred = $\frac{10}{100} \times 50000 =$ ₹4000
Sum left at the end of 1 year
= ₹40000 - ₹4000 = ₹36000
Profit made on ₹36000 = $\frac{12}{100} \times 36000 =$ ₹4320
Amount = ₹36000 + ₹4320 = ₹40320
Since 40320 > 40000
Profit = ₹40320 - 40000 = ₹320
