northern plains are found above the flood plain of the rivers that descend from the mountains. it is the oldest landmass of the godwana land
It is made of older alluvium. The older depoists of the river is called Bhangar and the younger deposits are called Khadar. It is made up of Igneous rocks and metamorphic rocks.
Most fertile region in India Contains large deposits of Minerals.
