Dear Student,

The quantities which have only magnitude and which are not related to any fixed direction in space are called scaler quantities or simply scalars.

The quantities which have both magnitude and direction are called vector quantities or simply vectors.

Scalar Quantity- Length(If we are considering only distance then it is scalar quantity), Speed, Time, Volume

Vector Quantity- Displacement, Acceleration, Force, Weight, Momentum
