Question

Take a point O on the plane of the paper. With O as centre draw a circle of radius 3 cm. Take a point P on this circle and draw a tangent at P.

Open in App
Solution

Steps of construction:

1. Draw a circle of radius 3 cm with centre O.
2.Take a point P on the circle and Join OP
3.Make a perpendicular line s at point P such that s⊥OP
4.Line s would be tangent of circle at point P
5.Tangent perpendicular to the radius. OP is radius of circle.

So, line s is perpendicular to OP.
