Let Sarita’s present age be y years.

(i) Sarita’s grandfather’s age is 6 times her age.

⇒ 6 × Sarita’s present age
⇒ 6 × y = 6y years

∴ Sarita’s grandfather’s age is 6y years.

(ii) Grandmother is 2 years younger than grandfather.

⇒ Grandfather’s age - 2
⇒ 6y - 2 years

∴ Grandmother’s age is 6y - 2 years.
