The correct option is B 27 sq.units
At the end point (a2b2,b2a) equation of tangent is xx1a2+yy1b2=1
So, the intercepts are (a2x1,0) and (0,b2y1)
Now, the area of quadrilateral =4× area of triangle formed by the intercepts and origin.
4×12×a2b2a2b2×b2a=2×272=27
So, option A is correct.
