Question

Tank A, measuring 20 cm by 25 cm by 15 cm, is 35 filled with water. Some water is poured from Tank A into an empty Tank 13 with a square base of side 10 cm so that the heights of the water level in the two tanks are the same.
What is the height of the water level in each tank ?

Vol. of water in tank 'A' =20×25×155=4500cm3
Vol. of tank 13=10×10×h
=100hcm2
Also vol. of water ion tank 'A' is 20×25×h=4500
h=9cm
