Taste buds can only be found on the surface of the tongue.
False
Taste buds are primarily distributed all over the tongue but it isn't the only place where they are found. They're found on our cheeks, the roof of our mouth, along the throat, upper parts of food pipe and even in our stomach. When food or other substances enter the mouth, molecules interact with saliva and are bound to taste receptors in the oral cavity and all these other locations.
