Taylor's present age $= x$ years
His father's age is $20$ years more than twice his present age.

So Taylor's father present age $= 2 x + 20$ years

After $5$ years Taylor's age $= x + 5$ years

After $5$ years, Taylor's father age $= 2 x + 20 + 5 = 2 x + 25$ years

After $5$ years, Taylor's father will be $3$ times as old as Taylor.

So,
$2 x + 25 = 3 (x + 5)$
$2 x + 25 = 3 x + 15$
$3 x - 2 x = 25 - 15$
$x = 10$ years

Therefore, Taylor's present age $= 10$ years
