Lakshmana temple is situated in Khajuraho. It is a Nagara architecture temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It has Panchayatana style in which the main shrine is surrounded by four subsidiary shrines at four different corners. The original patron of the Lakshmana temple was a leader of the Chandela clan, Yashovarman. His son Dhanga completed the work and dedicated the temple in 954 C.E. In the temple the Garbhagriha and Mandapa are fused together.
