Solution

The correct option is D None of the above
<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--> Krishna Deva Raya was the greatest of the Vijayanagar rulers. He was a gifted scholar in Telugu, Kannada and Sanskrit, in which he wrote the book on statecraft called Amukta Malyada.

The Portugese traveller, Domingo Paes, gives testimony to the grandeur of the Vijayanagar state under Krishnadeva Raya. His successors were not as competent as him.

The Vijayanagar state was destroyed at the Battle of Talikotta where the Prime Minister Rama Raya was defeated by a combined force of Bahmani successor states.
