<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--> Cripps Mission was headed by Sir Stafford Cripps. Cripps belonged to the left-wing Labour Party and was also the minister in Churchill's war cabinet.

Commander-in -Chief Ward and Secretary of State Leo Amery were two other members of the mission. Singapore was captured by Japan in February 1942, even before the arrival of Cripps Mission to India in March 1942.
