∙ Minerals are the naturally occuring substances that
contain compounds of metals mixed with soil, limestone,
sand, and other impurities. For example: Haematite,
magnetite, iron pyride and siderite are minerals containing
iron.
∙Ores are the minerals from which metals are commercially
extracted at low cost and minimum effort. For example:
Haematite and magnetite are ores from which iron is
extracted.
