It includes establishment of rail/road linkages with the port terminals, thus providing last mile connectivity to ports; development of linkages with new regions, enhanced multi-modal connectivity including rail, inland water, coastal and road services.This will reduce cost and time of transporting domestic cargo and locating future industrial capacities near the coast so as to lower logistics cost of bulk commodities.
This will target both major and non major(minor) ports.
