Solution

<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--> Splints are support structures which give direction to the bones and relieve the bones from any external stress or pressure. Broken bones are weak and cannot carry a lot of weight. The pressure on these bones have to be reduced for them to heal properly. For this splints are used.
