Solution

<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--> The diseases like cholera, gastroenteritis, typhoid, dysentery, jaundice, etc that are caused by germs in drinking water are called water-borne diseases.
Cholera and gastroenteritis cause loose motions, vomiting, and acute diarrhoea due to the infection in the digestive canal.
Typhoid is caused by bacteria that affect the intestine and it has symptoms of high fever for a number of days.
Jaundice affects the liver of a person and becomes fatal if not given proper treatment.
