Bryophytes are partially differentiated, having leaf-like, stem-like, and root-like structures. They do not have roots but have rhizoids which help in anchorage. They do not have any true vascular tissue and require both land and water to survive. Therefore, they are known as the amphibians of the plant kingdom. Asexual reproduction in bryophytes takes place via fragmentation.
