Vinod Singh urged Banda Bahadur to escape but Banda Bahadur was adamant. He wanted to fight till the end. Realising that there was no point in fighting a losing battle, Vinod Singh left the haveli. The strength of the Sikhs was reduced and it was impossible to fight under these conditions. On 7 December of 1715, the Mughals successfully broke into the haveli.
