Solution

<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--> If trees are cut:

1. The Earth will lose its top fertile soil layer.
2. The ecological balance will get disturbed and floods and drought will become more frequent.
3. Wildlife and habitats of several animals will be affected.
4. Surroundings will be more prone to floods.
5. Global warming and climate change will be accelerated.

These are the reasons why trees should not be cut.
