a) The vapour pressure of liquid ammonia at room temperature is very high and hence , NH3 will evaporate cooling decreases vapour pressure, a bottle is cooled before opening.

b) In summer solubility of gas in water is likely to decrease. to avoid this, bottles are kept under water.
