Ted bought 28 rectangular grass beds. Each of it has a length 10cm and breadth15cm. When he arranged them on his lawn, 4 beds were left unused. Find the area of the lawn (in square cm).
3600
Area of a rectangle = length×breadth
Each grass bed has a rectangular shape.
∴The area of each grass bed = 10×15=150 cm2
Number of grass beds that were bought = 28
4 beds were unused. Therefore, no. of grass beds used = 28-4 = 24
Thus area of the lawn = 24×area of each grass bed=24×150=3600 cm2
