Ted was not able to believe that a day before he was in his Mathematics class, desperately waiting for it to get over, and then, all of a sudden, he was in the world of numbers which was so interesting.
He asked \13\), “How are the number houses arranged on this number line?”
13 replied, “The number houses are arranged in ___ order of the numbers on the number line.”

Positive numbers were discovered first. And it was known that the largest positive number can’t be found. So, number line started with the numbers we knew already, i.e. 1 and then 2 followed by 3 and so on. After the discovery of 0 and integers, they were added to the extended number line to the left.

This means that the number on the right side of the number line is one greater than the number before it. So, the number houses are arranged in ascending order of the numbers, as on the number line.

Actually, a number on the number line is greater than all the numbers to its left side.
