Water vapour plays a role in heating and cooling the atmosphere?

As the water vapour molecules are formed they absorb heat with increasing temperature. When they condense they dissipate the latent heat back into the atmosphere. Thus, water vapour plays an important role in heating and cooling the atmoshpere.
