Given:
Actual wingspan = 15 ft
Scale factor = 160

Let, the wing span of the model = x ft

We know that,

Scale factor
= Dimension of scale model Dimension of actual object

160=x15

Multiplying both sides by 60,

160×60=x15×60

1=x×4

Dividing both sides by 4,

14=x×44

14=x

Wingspan of the model = 14 foot

But we need to find the wingspan of the model in inches.

1 foot = 12 inches

14 foot = 14×12 = 3 inches

Hence, the wingspan of the model is 3 inches.
