We know that, for a quadratic equation ax2+bx+c=0,Sum of roots = α+βand product of roots = αβwhere α and β are the roots of theequation.

Also, α+β=ba and αβ=ca

So, a+b=5p and ab=qp.

It is given that a + b = ab = 10

10=5p
Hence, p = 12

Also, ab=qp
10=qp
q=10p
q=10× 12
q=5
