$Given, the expression is \frac{x y^{2} + 2 x}{x} .$

$Taking x common from the numerator, we get \frac{x (y^{2} + 2)}{x} = (y^{2} + 2) .$

$Now substituting y = 2 in the above equation, we get, (y^{2} + 2) = 2^{2} + 2 = 4 + 2 = 6$
