Solution

The correct option is C One each from micropylar and chalazal end
The female gametophyte is also called the embryo sac in angiosperms. The megagametophyte produces an egg cell for the purpose of fertilisation. There are seven cells in the embryo sac. These include three antipodal cells, one central cell (formed by the fusion of 2 polar nuclei), two synergid cells and one egg cell. Of the two polar nuclei present in the central cell, one is derived from the micropylar end and the other from the chalazal end.
