We have:

⇒ a + 7d = 37 ...(1)

​T₁₂ = a + (n -1)d
⇒ a + 11d = 57 ...(2)
On solving (1) and (2), we get:
a = 2 and d = 5

Thus, first term = 2 and common difference = 5
