The 8th term of an AP is 37 and its 12th term is 57. Find the AP.

We have:
T8 = a + (n -1)d
⇒ a + 7d = 37 ...(1)

​T12 = a + (n -1)d
⇒ a + 11d = 57 ...(2)
On solving (1) and (2), we get:
a = 2 and d = 5
Thus, first term = 2 and common difference = 5

∴ The terms of the AP are 2, 7, 12, 17,...
