The correct option is B 64 and 4
Let a,b be the numbers.
Then according to the problem,
a+b2=34 ....... [Arithmetic mean]
or, a+b=68 ........ (1)
And ab=16 ........ [Geometric mean]
or, ab=256
or, a(68a)=256 ........ Using (1)
or, a268a+256=0
or, (a64)(a4)=0
or, a=64,4 then b=4,64.
So the required numbers are 64 and 4.
