Soln:

Let the numbers be x and y.

x+y=30

xy = 144

(xy)2=(x+y)24xy

900(4×144)=324

hence (xy)=18

Solving:xy=18 & x+y=30

x = 24, y = 6

So, the bigger number is 24. Hence option (c)
